Sunday Social

As from 1st September, there will no longer be Sunday Express ... it will be Sunday Social. All members and non-member visitors are welcome to turn up to the Club on Sundays anytime from 12.30pm and social sets will be arranged for you. We will be endeavouring to keep the sets evenly balanced so that everyone has plenty of good, competitive yet fun tennis, and afternoon tea will be provided. When you arrive, see Maggy or Heather and they will take care of you. Any enquiries about social tennis, please call Heather on 0438 714 574.

  • Played from 12.30pm
  • Open to all members – Seniors & Juniors – plus Non-Member friends and family too
  • Cost is FREE for members or $10 for Non-Members
  • Afternoon tea will be served
  • To join Sunday Social, just turn up on the day
  • For inquiries: Contact Heather 0438 714 574

Round Robins

The club also runs one day round robin events known as ‘Chicken Comps.’, which are more about social fun than competition. These are usually held in the breaks between organised competitions on Saturday afternoons.

There’s a small entry fee and prizes of frozen chickens and bottles of wine are awarded to the winners of various divisions, based on playing standard.

Time from 2:30pm
Cost Members: $7 adults $5 juniors
Non-Members: $10 adults $7 juniors

Call Steve Ackling 0417293769 if you are arriving late

Sunday Afternoons

Not everyone who joins Tennis Valley wants to play competitively. Accordingly, every Sunday afternoon from 1:00pm to 5:00pm is officially ‘Social Sunday’.

Courts are allocated and sets organized, loosely based on standard to ensure everyone gets a good hit… but we also mix things up so you get to know as many of your fellow club members as possible. It’s all about having fun, playing good tennis in good company.

There is no extra charge for this organised tennis… it’s all included in your annual membership fee. If you only want to play socially, you can elect to join the club as a ‘social member’ only
